In Tirupati district, an ambulance accident resulted in the deaths of two women and injuries to three others. The victims, devotees walking to Tirumala, were hit by an out-of-control ambulance near Narasingapuram. The deceased were identified as Lakshmamma and Pedda Reddamma. The incident is under investigation by the police.
